Boots are the most important part of your setup. A boot that fits well is warmer, more comfortable and gives you more control. Fit is personal, so we fit boots in the shop.

What a good fit feels like

  • Snug all around, with your heel held down when you flex forward.
  • Toes may lightly touch the front when you stand straight, then pull back when you flex.
  • No sharp pressure points. New boots pack out (get roomier) after a few days on snow.

Ski boot flex

The flex number tells you how stiff the boot is. Lower numbers suit beginners and lighter skiers, and higher numbers suit stronger, faster skiers. Women’s and kids’ boots run softer on the same scale.

Snowboard boots

Softer boots are forgiving and playful. Stiffer boots give more response for speed and big terrain. Lacing type (traditional, speed laces or BOA) is mostly a matter of preference.

What to bring

Bring the socks you ride in (one thin pair) and any custom footbeds.
